Fisnik Rexhepi

Political Adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs

Mr Rexhepi is political adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kosova. His responsibilities include advising the Minister on a daily basis, as well as the drafting of policies, coordinating the overall implementation of planned activities and public relations. He is also responsible for liaison between the Ministry and international partners.

He holds a BA degree in Political Science and Administration from the University of Prishtina. In 2006 he completed his postgraduate degree at the University of Sussex in the UK and was awarded an MA in Contemporary European Studies.

Prior to his appointment as a political adviser, Mr Rexhepi served as a national consultant with the UK’s DFID project ‘Support to the European Integration Process’ working closely with the Agency for European Integration within the Office of the Prime Minister.

From 2004-2005 he was a senior official in the Office of the Prime Minister with responsibility for coordinating the implementation of the ‘Standards for Kosovo’ as part of the preparation for negotiations on Kosovo’s final status which led to the UN Security Council’s decision to proceed with the final status process. He also advised as an external consultant on the Standards for Kosovo and European Integration Programme.
