Prishtinë, 4 maj 2012- At the Ministry of Internal Affairs, handover ceremony took place for the donation of 70 EULEX vehicles for the Ministry of Internal Affairs. At the handover ceremony participated Minister of Internal Affairs, Bajram Rexhep, Head of EULEX, Xavier De Marnhac and senior international and national officials.

Head of the European Union Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), Xavier de Marnhac, said that EULEX is donating  70 vehicles for the Ministry of Internal affairs, respectively for the Kosovo Police and Kosovo Police Inspectorate.

“As you know this is the third time that EULEX is supporting the Kosovo Institutions by donating equipments  of considerable value for the institutions that deal with rule of law  in Kosovo”, said  Marnhac.
Whereas Minister of Internal Affairs, Bajram Rexhepi, said that this is a great cooperation with EULEX, that except other  supports given in  Rule of Law and Order, today we have received a great support even in equipment that mainly goes for Kosovo Police.

“There are 70 vehicles for which Kosovo Police is in need for, in few police stations we had a lack of these types of vehicles. This will help us in saving the budget of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Police and will afford us other opportunities in performing better” said minister Rexhepi.
